Dow’s business communicators are strategic marketing communications practitioners with deep content and channel expertise who develop and implement promotional programs that engage current and potential customers and other relevant stakeholder audiences. We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Communications Manager for Sustainability, located in Singapore.
About You
In this role, you will lead plan development with business marketing partners for APAC sustainability areas and helps position and promote Dow products and services in support of business growth strategies and priorities. You will develop and deploy marketing communications strategies that deliver key marketing content/stories through multiple channels, integrated marketing, trade shows and experiential events. You will also lead communications efforts and strategic counsel for sustainability business leaders, developing and implementing messaging for sustainability strategy.
Also, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Lead development and implementation of sustainability marketing communications strategy and plans that align with business plans and employ audience-appropriate channel mixes.
- Lead planning process and strategic counsel for regional and global market areas.
- Cross-function collaborative lead partnering with APAC sustainability business with a focus on plastic circularity, marketing, branding, digital and content, GA, public affairs, legal etc, and aligned to global teams
- Develop, manage and deliver content that engages target audiences. This includes message development, writing and storytelling content development and channel delivery.
- Have a heavy focus on external project implementation across channels – earned media, owned, social and paid.
- Digital executive positioning content oversight
- Protect sustainability reputation against potential marketing /advertising standard and issues
- Roll out clear guidelines on external environmental and sustainability claims
- Budget management for content, channel, speaking opportunities and key opinion leader (KOL) partnerships
- Lead stakeholder/KOL identification, mapping, and engagement across APAC – in partnership with in-country GA/PA teams
- Support sustainability brand management through new product/capability brand development, trademark management, thought leadership and reputation, and co-branding strategy support.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with regional sustainability business leaders to ensure alignment with regional cross-functional priorities.
- Develop appropriate level of internal communications to ensure awareness of sustainability business strategy and business progress.
- Own sustainability communications outcomes measurement, feeding findings and recommendations back to communications and marketing planning. Analyze program trends and counsels marketing leaders on best practices, channel selection and other strategic insight.
Your knowledge, skills & abilities include:
- Ability to work with a variety of cultures, functions, and businesses, along with the skills to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, prioritizing a diverse range of projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- A clear understanding of sustainability communications and relevant issues around plastic circularity
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, problem-solving, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Commitment to embracing inclusion and diversity, outside-in thinking, creativity, value-add mentality, personal development, confidence in capabilities and clarity in priorities and expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- 12 – 15 years’ experience in agency, b2b, advocacy, or marketing comms leadership role.
- At least 3 - 5 years sustainability communications, ESG communications, etc.
Your preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelors in communications, marketing, journalism, sustainability, or other related fields
