Job Descriptions:
- You shall work as a team to develop new accounts and serve existing customers in fuel oil, middle distillates (Gasoil), or Petrochemical products;
- Interaction with traders and handle negotiations of both parties (seller and buyer) concerned;
- Assisting in developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase market share in brokerage commissions;
- Participating in annual energy conferences to meet/interact with oil traders and Platts/Reuters/Other reporters to cultivate relationships and gather information;
- Communicating and increasing awareness to improve the Company’s profile and branding in the marketplace;
- Conducting market research, tracking market movements, following the financial news, analyzing and understanding the behavior of trade of the oil and gas in the market/industry;
- Developing and maintaining a portfolio of customers’ contacts, and updating changes;
- Maintaining relationships with existing clients and making contact with potential clients to develop new business prospects;
- Visiting or meeting clients regularly face-to-face to create rapport, gather information, and understand their requirements;
- Entertaining clients for relationship building and networking;
- Arranging and facilitating the trades done and input transactions into clearing house systems such as ICE, CME, or SGX portals;
- Learning and understanding the physical cargo broking of petrochemical/fuel oil/bunker products, energy swap/futures business, and how trades are made to facilitate broking of such aforementioned products;
- Working closely with Administration staff to ensure quality processes for new client onboarding and complete documentation are maintained for billing, recording, and collection.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields.
- Experienced in energy/commodities broking eg. fuel oil, middle distillates or petrochemical.
- Have at least 2 years of physical/OTC swap broking or trading/business development experiences.
- Have good people and relationship-building skills with traders. Added advantage if have accounts.
- An individual who is highly energetic, motivated, and enjoys doing sales and business development.
- Able to work effectively within a team.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English and able to speak multi-languages (European or Asian) (in order to maintain relationships with existing multi-languages (European or Asian) speaking clients and make contact with potential multi-languages (European or Asian) speaking clients to develop new business prospects.)
